In the framework of the satellite short course of the 5th International Conference organized by the Latin American Society of Developmental Biology (LASDB) and the Society of Developmental Biology (SDB), Prof. Brigitte Galliot was invited to give a practical course about the Hydra model system in the University of Santiago (Chile) in November 2010. Thanks to the dedicated help of Lisbeth Muster (Galliot laboratory in Geneva) and Natalia Sanchez (Juan Larrain laboratory in Santiago), the students could not only perform regeneration and grafting experiments but also monitor the cycling activity of the stem cells.
